It has been announced that the Holy Month of Ramadan will start on Tuesday 13 April, as confirmed by the UAE moon sighting committee.
The announcement of Ramadan and Eid dates are made based on traditional methods of moon-sighting.
The Holy Month of Ramadan follows the lunar cycle and lasts for either 29 or 30 days, and Muslims around the world will fast for the whole month during daylight hours. The fast ends at dusk each day during the Holy Month of Ramadan at Magrib prayers, which are followed by Iftar.
