Medication Packaging With Labels In Braille

To help individuals with visual impairments, an initiative has been launched to provide medication instruction labels in Braille, which can then be read by the individual without assistance.

The initiative is in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Prevention and the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination.

This decision is in line with the government's aim to provide a better lifestyle for people with determination in order for them to have all the required services easily available.

The Braille labelling will be prepared by experts followed by printing at the printing press at the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination, which is currently the only facility with the service.

In order to receive additional feedback from the individuals and their families, a social media campaign will be launched along with the names of all the participating pharmaceutical companies and pharmacies.

The labels will be available in Arabic, English, and Urdu.
