Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) and the Ministry of Community Development have launched a competition with the theme 'Family'.
The competition encourages participants to share images of community development, highlighting virtual values, family stability and community cohesion.
The competition is open for a week on Instagram and participants need to use the hashtag #HIPAxMOCD_Family. Participants also have to follow @hipaae and @mocduae.
Submissions for the competition have to be uploaded by midnight on 15 March.
The criteria for the competition is creativity and innovation, embodying family cohesion and documenting family moments of different ethnic values of civilisations.
Five winning entries will receive a total of $2,400 between them, of which $1,000 will go to the first winner, $500 for the second, $400 for the third, $300 for the fourth and $200 for the fifth.
