Dubai Government Issues Guidelines To Regulate Services For Autism

The Government of Dubai has issued a set of guidelines to ensure quality health services for adolescents and children of determination, especially for individuals with autism.

This comes in line with the ‘My Community, A City for Everyone’ initiative which aims to transform Dubai into an inclusive city for people of determination and to promote monitoring their health, protecting their rights and to improve their quality of life.

The initiative was launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, under the supervision of the Higher Committee for the Protection of the Rights of People of Determination and the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in 2014.

The initiative focuses on the importance of families and finding the best treatment and care for them, the importance of specialists that can provide insights into early interventions and the importance of the right treatment centres and services.
