Design Changes To The Emirates ID And UAE Passports

During a cabinet meeting at Al Watan Palace in Abu Dhabi, UAE Cabinet members announced additional policies as well as the decision to change the design of all Emirates IDs and passports of UAE citizens. 
This change in design will provide new smart features and will also ensure the safety of Emirati citizens and residents. The shift to new Emirates IDs and Emirati Passports will be made gradually. 
The cabinet further announced additional policies that will be implemented via the Twitter account of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
A cybersecurity council has been approved to safeguard security online. The council will be in charge of creating policies and legal framework for all sectors, to help eliminate various types of cybercrimes.
The cabinet approved of a general environmental policy which is aimed at preserving the quality of the environment for future generations. The policy prioritises maintaining the natural environment, air quality, the sustainability of agricultural and animal production, and the optimal management of waste and chemicals.
A national media team has been established for all the actors and influencers in the country.
