Parents in Dubai will have the choice to send their children back to school when the new school year starts again, or continue with the distance learning programme that has been in place over the last few months.
The new school year starts on 30 August 2020 and schools are getting prepared to open to allow face to face teaching, under the requirements to reopen that schools should follow set out by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
However, it is understood that some parents may not feel comfortable with sending their children back to school, and the KHDA has announced to schools that they can provide 100% distance learning on a temporary basis for those students whose parents have concerns.
Schools have been closed in March and students stayed home and followed a programme of distance learning for the remainder of the academic year.
