Mandatory COVID-19 Tests For Everyone Coming Through UAE Airports

All UAE inbound passengers and transit passengers will have to take a coronavirus COVID-19 test before entering the UAE through the countries airports, irrespective of which country they are coming from. The mandatory PCR test will start form 1 August at all UAE airports and apply to citizens, residents and tourists.

In a joint statement made by the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC), all passengers travelling to European Union countries, the United Kingdom and all other countries that require a PCR test, from the UAE, have to be tested before being allowed to board their plane, and all airlines operating out of UAE airports are to comply with these requirements.

Children under the age of 12 and those with severe and moderate disabilities will be exempted from the test requirement, which has 96 hours of validity from the date of testing.
