New timings for the National Sterilisation Programme have been announced that will come into effect just before the start of Eid Al Fitr. From the 27 day of Ramadan, which is Wednesday 20 May, the National Sterilisation Programme will start 2 hours earlier and will run nightly from 8pm until 6am the following day, until further notice.
Shopping malls and shopping centres will open between 9am and 7pm from then and over the Eid Al Fitr holiday, and each visit will be limited to 2 hours. Adults over the age of 60 and children 12 years and under are not permitted to visit malls.
Certain shops including butchers shops, fish shops, fruit and vegetable shops and sweet shops can open between 6am and 8pm and supermarkets, co-operatives, pharmacies and certain food outlets can continue to operate 24 hours.
The capacity measures of 30% in shops and malls remain in place and social distancing requirements continue throughout this period.
