Drive-in cinemas, a popular experience in the past, will be soon be returning to Dubai as restrictions due to coronavirus COVID-19, are eased further.
After a few social media posts were shared suggesting that Dubai residents will soon be able to enjoy a night at the movies, UAE cinema chain VOX Cinemas, has confirmed to residents with a Twitter post saying a new cinematic experience is coming to Mall of the Emirates.
No more information is available as yet of when the drive-in cinema will open, how much it will cost or what will be showing, however a test run has been done to ensure all the necessary precautions are in place for the safety of all staff and guests.
The cinema is located on the rooftop car park of Mall of the Emirates at the Ski Dubai end, with the screen set up just under the ski slope.
