During this Holy Month of Ramadan, Washmen is helping customers give back by launching a donation drive in partnership with Comfort and the Emirates Red Crescent. Due to coronavirus COVID-19, residents across the UAE are mostly staying at home during Ramadan which is the most popular time for donations during the year.
During Ramadan, Washmen, in partnership with Comfort and Red Crescent, will collect donations from across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, completely free of charge. The donations will be collected and cleaned using Comfort, and Washmen will then deliver the freshly cleaned items to Emirates Red Crescent, whose team will then redirect the donations to those in need.
To facilitate the donation program, Washmen has launched a separate ‘Donate’ feature on the app that customers can use to make donations this Ramadan.
Here’s how to donate:
- Fill a Washmen laundry bag or any bag with clothes that are to be donated.
- Mark the bag by writing ‘donation’ on it or by placing a recycling sticker on it.
- Schedule the pick-up via the Washmen App.
The donation will run throughout Ramadan. It will be completely free of charge for the residents of Dubai and Abu Dhabi allowing them to place their donation order with or without their laundry order.
