Dubai Shuts Down 26 Shops For Violating Re-Opening Safety Rules

As Dubai partially removes restrictions on movement across the Emirate and allows certain commercial establishment to resume activities, inspection campaigns have been intensified as part of the efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus COVID-19. 

Following the strict instructions on safety from the government, Dubai has ordered the shut down a total of 26 shops which have been found violating the safety rules. In addition to closing down the shops, Dubai Economic Department (DED), has also issued 14 fines and 234 warning letters to other violating establishments.

DED has also urged customers to report businesses and stores which are not complying with the safety rules. Complaints can be made through the Dubai Consumer App, via their hotline 600545555, or on the website.
