Off the back of recent announcements, Coca-Cola Arena, opening on 6 June, has announced a new act to perform at the arena later this summer. Following performances from Russell Peters and Maroon 5, chart topping Irish boy band Westlife, will take to the stage in August to entertain fans.
As part of an agreement between Book MY Show, an Indian ticket booking platform and pop superstars Westlife, the band has confirmed they will play at the Coca-Cola Arena located at City Walk Dubai on 29 August.
Westlife, formed in 1998 in Dublin, rose to fame with their debut international self-titled studio album, Westlife in 1999. It was followed by Coast to Coast in 2000, World of Our Own in 2001, Unbreakable – The Greatest Hits Vol. 1 in 2002 and Turnaround in 2003. The band has sold over 40 million studio albums and 55 million records worldwide. Smash hits from the band include ‘Swear It Again’, ‘If I Let You Go’, ‘Flying Without Wings’, ‘I Have a Dream’, ‘Seasons in the Sun’, ‘Fool Again’, ‘My Love’, ‘What Makes a Man’, ‘Uptown Girl’, ‘Unbreakable’ and more.
The band was disbanded in 2012 and reunited in 2018 with two brand new hit singles, ‘Better Man’ and ‘Hello My Love’, written by Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac.
Tickets for the show will be available on www.bookmyshow.com and www.ticketmaster.ae from Tuesday, 30 April 11.00am onwards. Tickets start from Dhs 250 (early bird).
Russell Peters is scheduled to perform on 6 June followed by Maroon 5 on 14 June.
