After being recently being placed at 8th spot, followed by 3rd, the UAE Passport has now jumped to the top spot worldwide. Ranked as the number one best in the world, the UAE passport allows holders to enter 167 countries visa-free and 50 countries with visas issued on arrival.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted: “On the glorious UAE National Day, our achievements are getting doubled. The Passport Index has just ranked the UAE passport as Number 1 globally, with visa-free entry to 167 countries worldwide. Congratulations to the UAE and its people and big thanks to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s teams led by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed”.
Second spot includes Germany and Singapore, whose passport holders gain visa free entry to 166 countries.
