Thanks to Dubai Police, the pressure of clearing annual traffic fines in one go has been eased and more people can pay their fines over monthly installments.
The agreement made between Dubai Police and Dubai Islamic Bank now allows for holders of a Dubai Islamic Bank credit card to pay their fines over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months. The installments are all interest free and should be a minimum of AED 500.
Similar agreements have been made in the past with other banks, including Emirates NBD, Emirates Islamic Bank and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank to name a few, and this additional agreement eases the payment method for many more residents.
The agreement was signed by Brigadier Hameed Salem Al Suwaidi of Dubai Police and Sanjai Malhotra, of Dubai Islamic Bank. Upon the announcement Brigadier Al Suwaidi said "It is an innovation service provided by Dubai Police to achieve our strategic goal of providing happiness to the society through Dubai Police services."
