Dubai American Academy in Al Barsha has announced it will close in September. The school is the only 'outstanding' rated American curriculum school in the emirate. GEMS Education has announced it will transfer all staff and pupils to the GEMS Nations Academy. The merger will see GNA change its name to the Dubai American Academy - Nations. Tuition fees for families moving to the new school will continue to follow DAA's structure. An increase of 4.8% has been approved by KHDA in line with the education regulator's guidelines.
