Dubai Municipality has completed the development of dedicated community market spaces across major industrial areas in the emirate, establishing 866 licenced stalls for essentials, fresh food, and daily services.

The integrated markets span more than 69,000 square metres and are currently operating in Muhaisnah 2, Al Quoz Industrial Area 3, and Al Quoz 4. A fourth location in Jebel Ali Industrial Area 1 is scheduled to open shortly.

Developed in coordination with Dubai Police, the initiative organises local trading into structured, hygienic, and safe environments near worker accommodations.

Each market features eight specific service categories, including food kiosks, fruit and vegetable outlets, meat and fish stalls, barber shops, tailoring, and consumer goods. Beyond retail, the sites offer sports facilities, leisure spaces, and dedicated areas for community health and safety workshops.

The operational markets have already served over 640,000 workers and hosted 69 community events. For residents and local workers across these industrial hubs, the facilities provide low-cost everyday necessities, organised recreational areas, and safe public spaces.
