Fines Up To Dhs 2,000 For Unsafe Driving In Rainy Weather

With the UAE facing adverse weather conditions, authorities have warned drivers of strict fines for unsafe driving in rainy weather. The Ministry of Interior has released a whole lot of fines, going up to Dhs 2,000, for those who fail to follow the rules. 

List Of Fines

Gathering near valleys, flood zones or dams during rainfall: Dhs 1,000 and 6 black points

Entering flooded valleys regardless of water level or degree of danger: Dhs 2,000, 23 black points and 60 days of vehicle impoundment

Obstructing relevant authorities in managing traffic or emergency, rescue and ambulance operations during crises, disasters, rainfall or flooding: Dhs 1,000, 4 black points and 60 days of vehicle impoundment.

The public is urged to follow safety guidelines, with unstable weather conditions expected across the country until Friday, 27 March.
