Etihad Rail has unveiled details of its passenger experience ahead of the 2026 UAE network launch, emphasising comfort, reliability, and family-friendly features.
The service offers ergonomic seating, onboard Wi-Fi, power outlets at every seat, and spacious interiors for commuters and business travellers, transforming travel time into productive moments. Families benefit from exclusive seating configurations to stay together, generous luggage storage, and a stress-free alternative to road trips, aligning with the UAE's 'Year of the Family'.
Azza AlSuwaidi, Deputy CEO, Etihad Rail Mobility, said, “This is a service built to reflect who we are as a nation - safe, welcoming, high-quality, and designed to serve people for generations. It reflects where we have come from, as well as where we are travelling to.”
The passenger rail network will link 11 stations across the UAE, stretching from Al Sila near the Saudi border to Al Dhaid in Sharjah, and from the western region of Abu Dhabi to Fujairah on the east coast.

- Madinat Zayed, located 180 kilometres away from Abu Dhabi
- Mezairaa, located close to the Liwa Oasis and the Empty Quarter, Mezairaa
- Mohamed bin Zayed City, Abu Dhabi
- Al Faya, located between Abu Dhabi and Dubai
- Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai
- University City, Sharjah
- Al Dhaid, Sharjah
- Sakamkam, Fujairah
Journey times include 57 minutes from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and 105 minutes from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah. A future high-speed line aims to reduce Abu Dhabi-Dubai trips to 30 minutes.
