Remote Working And Distance Learning Extended By Another Day As Stormy Weather Continues

The Government of Dubai has extended remote working by an extra day within government entities, in light of the continuing adverse weather conditions across the emirate. Employees within government entities will operate remote working again on Wedneaday 17 April.
The Knowledge and Human Develpment Autority (KHDA) has also directed Dubai private schools, nurseries and universities to continue with distance learning on Wednesday 17 April. in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the KHDA said "In light of prevailing weather conditions and keeping in mind the safety of students and staff, Dubai private schools, nurseries, and universities must continue to offer distance learning on Wednesday, April 17."
 
Since the early hours of Tuesday 16 April, the UAE has faced stormy weather with thunder, lightning and downfalls downfalls experienced across the country and continuing in waves throughout the day. The National Centre for Meteorology has warned of continuing unstable weather until 6pm on Wednesday 17 April.
The public have been urged to stay indoors and avoid any travel unless absolutely necessary.
