Review: Jood Palace Hotel

For the UAE’s 44th National Day, I needed a relaxing getaway on my doorstep, no flights and no fuss. So I decided that a staycation was exactly what I was looking for and what better option than the newly rebranded Jood Palace Hotel in the heart of Deira.

The hotel is very central, not to mention easy to find. For either short or long stays, you will find lots of great things to do like explore the traditional souks, Dubai Museum, and Dubai Heritage Village.

The staff were extremely welcoming and on arrival, I was given drinks and a fruit basket. They have four restaurants offering an international buffet, Arab, Indian and Japanese cuisine.

I am a huge fan of Japanese food and wanted to see what Sakura had to offer. As it was a Friday, they had a fabulous buffet on. I started with a prawn appetiser, sushi platter and for my main dish, I had some teppanyaki. The food was delicious and I was so happy to find this hidden gem! I will definitely go and eat there again!

My room was extremely spacious and tastefully designed. The room was well equipped with all modern forms of comfort, which helped me relax and unwind.
