His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of the UAE, has ordered the release of 971 prisoners.
The decision is in line with the Holy Month of Ramadan and aims to reunite the pardoned prisoners with their families, giving them the opportunity to start their lives afresh.
Dubai Public Prosecution and Dubai Police have already started the legal procedures to release the prisoners.
