Dubai Customs has suspended the tax applicable on international packages worth Dhs 300 and over.
Individuals can now shop internationally without having to pay a tax of 5%.
The tax is currently applicable on goods over Dhs 1,000.
The initial decision to add a tax of 5% to goods valued at Dhs 300 and over was made in January.
The change is now in effect.
