New Launch Date For Arab Space Mission

The launch date for the first Arab long-duration astronaut mission has been changed to 27 February.

The mission was set to launch on 26 February.

Individuals can watch the live-streamed mission take place at 10.45am in the UAE, with the launch happening from the Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi will lead the mission.

The crew includes astronaut Stephen Bowen, Spacecraft Commander at NASA, astronaut Warren Hoburg, Pilot at NASA, and cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev, Mission Specialist at Roscosmos.

The Astronaut Programme aims to train astronauts at the International Space Station (ISS) and will make the UAE the 11th country to accomplish this feat.
