WhatsApp, the popular calling and messaging platform, was down for a few hours.
The issue was seen around the world, where messages sent and received were not delivered.
Noticed at 11am, many people turned to Twitter, to confirm and were met with memes as well as #whatsappdown trending.
The issue on the messaging platform has since been resolved.
