Electric abras will operate again at this year's edition of Global Village.
Announced by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), electric abras have been extremely popular among visitors and run on renewable energy.
Two electric abras will be deployed this year at Global Village.
Mohammed Abu Bakr Al Hashemi, Director of Marine Transport, Public Transport Agency at RTA said, “Each year, the Global Village plays a vital role in enhancing Dubai's tourism during the winter season. RTA is committed to growing tourist numbers by running a wide range of public transport services, including marine transport represented by abras, Dubai Ferry, Water Bus and Water Taxi.”
