Emirates Transport (ET) has equipped its buses with the highest safety and security systems for the new academic year.
7,217 buses have been made ready for the 241,000 school and university students using the facilities.
In anticipation of the start of the academic year, training programmes, awareness talks and events at stations and locations were held.
School transport is being provided to 170,000 students at 504 government schools by using 4,161 buses, including 100 buses for students of determination, 4,200 drivers and 4,155 bus supervisors.
Additionally, 54,794 students will use 2,256 buses for 122 private schools.
