Abu Dhabi Airports Welcomes 6.3 Million Passengers

During the first half of 2022, Abu Dhabi Airports welcomed 6.3 million passengers to Abu Dhabi.

The flow of passengers was noted at Abu Dhabi International, Al Ain International, Al Bateen Executive, Delma and Sir Bani Yas Island airports from 1 January to 30 June.

Around 94,538 flights were recorded, showing steady growth in network and passengers.

At Abu Dhabi International alone, the number of scheduled flights increased by 94% in comparison to the first half of 2021.

The top five countries with the most passengers during the first half of 2022 were India, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Shareef Hashim Al Hashmi, Chief Executive Officer, Abu Dhabi Airports said, “The resumption of regional and global markets and successful efforts of airlines to accommodate demands safely and effectively, have been instrumental to achieving these figures. Looking ahead, our aim is to continue building on this success throughout the second half of 2022.”
