His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE has released 737 prisoners.
The order to release prisoners in celebration of Eid Al Adha.
The prisoners were serving jail time for a variety of offences.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed has also pledged to settle the financial needs of the prisoners.
The annual pardon by the President is based on values of forgiveness and tolerance and gives prisoners the chance to rethink and continue their lives on the right path.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has also pardoned 505 prisoners.
