The curtains are up on the latest man-made island, as Bluewaters is now open to the public. The brand new location is expected to be one of the most buzzing destinations within Dubai featuring residences, hotels, restaurants and shops, as well as the soon to open Ain Dubai observation wheel.

Bluewaters is connected to the mainland by road with a direct link to  Sheikh Zayed Road, as well as has access from The Beach at JBR via a 265-metre pedestrian bridge. The island also has dedeciated stops for Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) water taxis, so getting there is easy and also interesting.

Bluewaters features special pedestrian walkways which will allow visitors to stand at the water’s edge, gaze out towards the sea, and  soak in its own breath-taking views.

To make shopping an elated experience, the island offers a lifestyle retail area called The Wharf. It will have over 100 retail and dining outlets, where people can comfortably enjoy and visit through walkways shaded by trees and with striking light visuals. Thinking about parking? The retail area has 2,000 reserved parking spots on the island at basement and podium level.

The island will see its first residents by the first quarter in 2019, as handovers are set to take place in December.  The island comprises of 10 mid-rise buildings featuring 698 apartments, 4 penthouses and 17 townhouses with a view of the sea or Ain Dubai.

The island is bringing the most popular hotel chain from Las Vegas to Dubai for the very first time- Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai and Caesars Resort Bluewaters Dubai.

Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai  will welcome its first guests on 15 November, and Caesars Resort Bluewaters Dubai will open in December.

Ain Dubai, at 250 metres, is taller than the 167-metre High Roller in Las Vegas, and though the opening of Ain Dubai is yet to be announced, when operational it will have the capacity to carry up to 1,400 passengers at a time in its 48 capsules, offering unforgettable 360-degree views of Dubai.

Bluewaters is right across from Jumeirah Beach Residences and just a 20-minute drive from City Walk and Downtown Dubai.

His Excellency Abdulla Al Habbai, Group Chairman of Meraas, said: “We are set to achieve many engineering feats at Bluewaters and are delivering a destination which will establish a new benchmark for modern design. However, we are proudest of the fact that it will bring people together and create enriching experiences to support the growth of Dubai as a global hub.”

We've been watching Bluewaters come up over the years and are now excitedly looking forward to it becoming a must visit destination for residents and visitors
