The social media world went into uproar over the weekend when a Kuwaiti beauty blogger posted some controversial views. Following the passing of a new law giving Filipino migrant workers the right to a day off a week as well as keeping their passports with them, Sondos Alqattan went on a social media rant.

She said: “For [a maid] to take a day off every week, that’s four days a month. If they ran away and went back to their country, who’ll refund me? I don’t want a Filipino maid anymore.”

Now, popular vlogger based in the UAE Khalid Al Ameri, has chimed in response to Alqattan’s views.

In the video he says, “How would you feel if you work for someone that did not only give you a day-off but disagreed with the very ideology that you deserve a day off?” he said.

He then continues to say that ‘we’ are not robots and at the end of the day, ‘we’ are humans and expected to take a rest. “It’s ridiculous,” he said regarding her disagreeing views about keeping one’s passport.

“Let me tell you this. After listening to your rant, if I work for you I would run so far away that the CIA will never find me

“I will dig a hole so deep that you won’t be able to smell my scent, you won’t hear me breathe. I would disappear, I will cease to exist and I will never show my face to you again.

“Believe me, there’s a reason why they keep running from you, and maybe you are that reason,” Al Ameri added.
