Oman Visit Visas Online Only

  • The online services will start from March 21

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced online visa services for tourists and express visas to ease the long queues at the visa counters at it's airport. The services will be available from March 21 from when no visas would be issued at the service desk.

Visitors can apply for their visas online at the website rop.gov.com. They are required to upload travel papers and all the requested documents. Payment is made by credit or debit card through the official e-payment portal. The e-visa approval notification will be sent to the applicants by email to print and present at the immigration desk when they arrive at the airport.

The ROP introduced its new e-visa scheme last year to make it easier for travellers, hotels and tour operators to book travel visas for guests. The move came as Oman aims to boost tourism revenues, given that the government has implemented various measures to cope with the plunge in oil prices.
