Happiness and Gratitude at Zabeel Park

For the past two months, Zabeel Park has been hosting a Happiness Market organised by the Dar Al Ber Society (DABS). The market aims to promote exactly what it is says ... Happiness! Giving friends and families a joyous occasion to eat and be merry, and at the same timefundraising for humanitarian causes.

In addition, this weekend the market revealed the launch of the Gratitude Wall organised by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to offer thanks to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. It was signed and honoured by several government departments and dignitaries. The wall was also an initiative by the Ruler of Dubai to offer thanks to the great Sheikh with “a meaningful word or an inspiring picture or a good act.”

Alongside the Gratitude Wall, the market is also a way for DABS to give back to society and increase the overall happiness of residents in Dubai. Juhi Yasmeen Khan, CSR and charity initiatives expert at DABS said, “we give out a lot of free consumer items and services to the visitors to add to their happiness quotient. These range from free medical check-ups, tea, ice cream and more.”

The market is just another fantastic initiative of the efforts to make Dubai residents the happiest in the world, and we think it’s working!
