UAE residents can expect a humid weekend with high chances of overnight mist and fog, though daytime temperatures will see a slight drop compared to early-week peaks.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the influx of coastal air will bring a marginal decrease in daytime heat, relative humidity levels are forecast to surge up to 90% during the nights and early mornings.

In Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, daytime temperatures will peak at 40°C on Friday before dropping slightly to 39°C on Saturday and Sunday. Clear to partly cloudy conditions will dominate the daytime hours. However, humidity will rise sharply after sunset, reaching up to 75% on Friday and peaking at 85% by Saturday night, creating a strong probability of early morning mist. Minimum overnight temperatures will hover around 29°C.

Abu Dhabi residents will experience slightly higher daytime maximums, with temperatures reaching 41°C on Friday and stabilising at 40°C over Saturday and Sunday. The capital faces the highest humidity risk in the country this weekend, with relative humidity expected to hit 85% on Friday night and a stifling 90% by Saturday evening. This spike brings potential fog and reduced road visibility during the early hours of Saturday and Sunday morning, before clearing into fair daytime skies.

For the rest of the country, internal desert areas will bear the brunt of the dry summer heat, with maximum temperatures ranging between 41°C and 45°C, though overnight humidity will drop as low as 10% inland. Conversely, the eastern coast and the Hajar mountain regions will see low clouds developing, keeping daytime highs significantly lower between 34°C and 38°C.

Winds across the UAE will remain light to moderate, blowing south-westerly to north-westerly at speeds of 10 to 25kph, occasionally freshening to 35kph.
