The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Federal Traffic Council, has rolled out a strategic traffic plan aimed at enhancing road safety and ensuring smooth traffic flow near schools.

Under the initiative, traffic police and patrols will be intensified around schools, major roads and key intersections, as well as on internal and external routes, particularly during morning hours and after school dismissal. The measures are designed to regulate traffic movement, reduce accidents and facilitate the movement of school buses.

Authorities also urged drivers to remain attentive while driving, reduce speed near schools, comply with traffic laws, and come to a complete 'stop' when the school bus stop arm is extended. Drivers are also encouraged to co-operate with traffic patrols to support smoother traffic flow and contribute to reducing road accidents.
