UAE Nurseries To Reopen Gradually, Announcement On Schools Tomorrow

The Education, Human Resources, and Community Development Council has announced the gradual return to in-person learning for some nurseries starting this week.

The reopening will begin with nurseries located in government premises and commercial buildings. At the same time, other nurseries will still be allowed to offer home-based childcare services, as long as they follow the approved regulations and procedures.

The council also said that further updates on the return of in-person or remote learning across schools and higher education institutions will be announced tomorrow, Wednesday, 15 April. These updates will be shared through the official channels.

To support the return, the council has launched comprehensive preparation programmes for educational institutions. These programmes are designed to get nurseries, schools, and higher education institutions ready for the next stage, while also ensuring that staff are properly trained in line with the decisions issued by the relevant authorities.

In addition, field evaluation visits will be carried out at educational institutions by the relevant ministries and local education authorities. These visits are intended to make sure facilities are fully prepared and able to meet the required standards before any wider return to in-person learning takes place.

The council also highlighted the importance of flexibility in the education system. Clear guidance is being developed to help institutions move smoothly between different learning modes whenever needed. This is aimed at ensuring that education can continue without disruption through flexible and seamless systems that can respond to changing developments.
