Dubai authorities have pushed back against online claims suggesting the emirate is facing a property market collapse, mass evacuation, airport shutdowns and empty supermarket shelves, describing the reports as fake.

The Government of Dubai Media Office said Dubai is operating as normal and urged residents and visitors to rely on verified information instead of misleading social media content.

In a video released on Wednesday, 25 March, authorities highlighted a series of false headlines circulating online, including claims that banks were freezing investor funds, the real estate market was collapsing, and wealthy residents were leaving Dubai. Authorities called out these claims as fake and urged residents to step away from rumours and focus on facts.

Officials have repeatedly reminded the public to follow official sources for accurate updates and warned that spreading false or outdated content can mislead people and may have legal consequences.
