Etihad Airways will restart a limited commercial flight schedule from Friday, 6 March, with services operating between Abu Dhabi and a number of major international destinations.

Passengers with existing bookings will be placed on these flights as soon as possible, while new tickets can also be booked through the airline’s website. Travellers are advised not to head to the airport unless Etihad has contacted them directly or they hold a confirmed reservation.

The following routes are set to operate to and from Abu Dhabi, from 6 March to 19 March. These include Ahmedabad, Bangkok, Bengaluru, Cairo, Colombo, Delhi, Frankfurt, Hanoi, Hyderabad, Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur, London Heathrow, Madrid, Malé, Milan Malpensa, Moscow Sheremetyevo, Mumbai, New York JFK, Paris, Phuket, Riyadh, Rome, Seoul Incheon, Toronto, and Zurich.

The airline said the move was made in coordination with the relevant authorities after thorough safety and security reviews. Flights remain subject to operational approval and regional airspace conditions.

The resumption of services comes after Etihad announced the cancellation of all scheduled commercial flights to and from Abu Dhabi until 6am UAE time on Friday, 6 March.

flydubai has partially resumed its scheduled flights. The airline announced it will resume scheduled flights to several destinations across its network from 5 March. It also added that operations to some destinations continue to be affected by airspace restrictions.

Emirates said it is currently operating a reduced flight schedule until further notice following the partial reopening of some regional airspace for the safe conduct of commercial flights.

A spokesperson for the airline said that Emirates will operate more than 100 flights to and from Dubai on 5 and 6 March to transport passengers to their destinations, in addition to carrying essential cargo, including perishables and pharmaceuticals.

Air Arabia has extended its suspension of flights to and from the UAE until 3pm on Monday, 9 March, amid ongoing regional disruptions.

In addition, limited flight operations have resumed at Zayed International Airport (AUH) following a period of disruption, in coordination with the Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Center – Abu Dhabi (ADCMC).
