The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security has introduced a temporary waiver on overstay fines for visitors and residents unable to leave due to recent regional airspace closures and flight suspensions.
Fines incurred from 28 February onwards are fully waived, allowing eligible people to regularise their status without penalties. Special teams at airports and Customer Happiness Centres continue to assist travellers with delayed or rescheduled flights.
