The UAE’s Ministry of Education has announced that public schools will switch to remote learning on Fridays, during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The Ministry clarified that teaching staff will continue to work from schools on Fridays. Teaching and support staff will remain on campus on Fridays. Students may choose to attend in person, as long as parents or guardians arrange transportation to and from the school.

The authority said distance learning will be in effect at public schools as part of the 'Ramadan with the Family' initiative.

The move, which was also in place last year, aims to allow families to spend more time together during Ramadan.
