Dubai Public Parks And Beaches To Remain Closed

Dubai Media Office

In light of the unstable weather conditions, Dubai Municipality has announced via its social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, the temporary closure of all public parks, beaches, and open-air markets across the city today, Thursday, 2 May, to prioritise public safety.

Authorities made the announcement late Wednesday night, 1 May, indicating that night swimming is also prohibited temporarily. This precautionary measure aims to address likely challenges arising from adverse weather conditions and prioritise public health and safety during such uncertainties.

Besides this, to ensure public safety, authorities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, and Fujairah have mandated remote work for public sector employees and implemented remote learning for schools and nurseries.
