Dubai Attracted 1.77 Million International Tourists In January 2024

Dubai is renowned for its striking skyline, extraordinary attractions, rich culture, diverse cuisine, and numerous other attractions. Due to its increasing popularity, the emirate saw a surge in international tourism in January 2024, with 1.77 million visitors, marking a 21% rise from the 1.47 million visitors in January 2023.

As per Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism's January Tourism Performance Report, Western Europe is the top source market for international tourists to Dubai, contributing over 18% of visitors, totalling 327,000. GCC countries came next with 311,000 visitors, making up nearly 18%, while South Asia ranked third with 294,000 visitors, comprising around 17% of the total international visitors to Dubai.

Visitors from Russia and Eastern Europe totalled 262,000, making up 15% of the total, securing the fourth spot. Meanwhile placing fifth, tourists from the Middle East and North Africa region reached 211,000, comprising 12% of Dubai's total visitors.

North and Southeast Asia secured sixth place with 149,000 visitors, comprising 8% of the total. United States of America followed in seventh position with 115,000 visitors, accounting for approximately 6% of all international visitors. Africa ranked eighth with 71,000 visitors, representing 4% of the total, while Australia came in last with 33,000 visitors, making up 2% of the overall international visitor count.
