The year 2023 is almost over, and so are the holidays for this year. But guess what? There's more good news! UAE residents will have a long weekend from 30 December to 1 January 2024. The UAE Cabinet recently announced the official holiday dates for 2024 and the first public holiday of 2024 will be New Year's Day.
Since 1 January 2024 falls on a Monday, the first working day of the year will be Tuesday, 2 January. It means people with a two-day weekend will get to enjoy an extended weekend from Saturday to Monday.
