The glorious year of 2023 is almost about to end, and to ensure you have the best time on New Year's Eve and in welcoming 2024, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled special offers and premium services for a spectacular show on the eve of the New Year 2024.
RTA has revealed special promotions for 31 December on marine transportation options such as Dubai ferry, abra, and water taxi. Celebrate the arrival of 2024 with a journey along the emirate's coastline aboard the Dubai ferry, an abra, or a water taxi.
Timings
In terms of the marine transport services, Dubai Ferry rides will start between 10pm and 10.30pm on New Year's Eve and continue up to 1.30am (the following day). The water taxi and abra trips will start between 10pm and 10.30pm and end at 1.30am (the following day).
Routes
If you're thinking about using the service, it's good to know you can hop on the ferry, abra, or water taxi from different spots in Dubai. You have options like Marina Mall Station, Ghubaiba Station, Bluewaters Station, Al Jaddaf Station, and Al Fahidi Station. You can choose the one that's most convenient for your route.
For Marina Mall Station
Embark on the abra and water taxi adventure beginning at Marina Mall Station in Dubai Marina. The abra ride is priced at Dhs 150 per person, while reserving the entire water taxi comes at Dhs 3,750. Children under 2 years old can enjoy the journey for free.
Dubai Ferry excursions start from Marina Mall Station (Dubai Marina), Ghubaiba Station, and Bluewaters Station. The silver class fare is Dhs 350, and the gold class is Dhs 525, with a 50% discount for children aged 2 to 10, and complimentary travel for infants under two.
For Al Jaddaf Station, Al Fahidi Station, and Al Ghubaiba Marine Transport Station
The abra trips kick off from Al Jaddaf Station, Al Fahidi Station, and Al Ghubaiba Marine Transport Station, priced at Dhs 150 for adults, and free for infants under 2 years old.
