Major Abu Dhabi Road Closures Announced Ahead Of ADNOC Marathon

Abu Dhabi residents, be advised of upcoming road closures due to the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon scheduled for 16 December, Saturday. The ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon is expected to host a record 23,000 participants, which would prompt closures across the city.

Beginning at midnight, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street will be closed until 7.30am, followed by the closure of Corniche Street from 2am to 2pm. Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street shuts down from 3am to 9am. The marathon route then moves to Sheikh Rashid Bin Saaed Street, closing in phases between 4am and noon.

The ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon race village, accessible from 12 to 16 December (3pm to 10pm), will be located at ADNOC headquarters. The village offers entertainment, diverse dining options, and free entry to all.

Participants will receive an exclusive Nike technical race T-shirt made from sustainable materials, customisable with their names. Besides this, running teams have a designated area in Bianuna Park for warm-ups, setting up tents, enjoying refreshments, and exploring partner promotions.
