The exciting news is bubbling up at The Galleria Mall, Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi, as Craft by Side Hustle, the UAE's first brewery, is set to open its doors early next year. Born in Abu Dhabi, Side Hustle is already known for its craft hops brand, and its hops are available for purchase in the UAE and even on Etihad flights. However, the production side of things has, until now, been based in the USA.
This 250-seater brewery is set to bring an artisanal ethos and global perspective to the hops scene. Located on Al Maryah Island, it aims to deliver unique flavours worldwide, complemented by a menu featuring Southern Louisiana-style dishes.
What's particularly interesting is that Craft by Side Hustle has been granted a license to sell its craft hops on tap brewed on the premises. While you can already find Side Hustle's imported hops and spirits in UAE beverage stores, this marks a new era where brewing happens locally.
This development aligns with Abu Dhabi's 2021 spirits licensing regulations update, allowing establishments to brew beverages on-site for consumption within licensed venues.
