The 30th edition of the World Travel Awards 2023 took place on 1 December at the Burj Al Arab. Airlines and hotels from all over the UAE received many awards. Notably, Dubai was recognised as the World's Leading Exhibition Destination. Dubai International Airport was named the World's Leading Airport for 2023, and Dubai Duty-Free earned the esteemed title of World's Leading Airport Duty-Free Operator in 2023.
Emirates Airline Shines At World Travel Awards 2023
Emirates Airlines, the prominent carrier in Dubai, received five awards. Emirates was recognised as the World's Leading Airline to the Middle East and the World's Leading Airline Brand. The airline also secured awards for the best first class, in-flight entertainment, and rewards program.
Etihad Airways Bags Prestigious Awards
Abu Dhabi's leading carrier, Etihad Airways earned prestigious titles. It was recognised as the World's Leading Airline for customer experience and economy class. Additionally, its first-class lounge was honoured as one of the World's Leading Airport Lounges.
Abu Dhabi Airport achieved the esteemed recognition as the World's Leading Airport Operator, while Dubai's Balloon Adventures secured the title of the World's Leading Balloon Ride Operator.
UAE Hospitality Took Home Over 40 Awards
Over 40 hotels in the UAE were honoured with awards, with Jumeirah Al Naseem claiming the prestigious title of the World's Leading Hotel.

- Atlantis, The Palm, received the title of the World's Leading Landmark Resort
- Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates was acknowledged as the World's Leading Shopping Mall Hotel.
- In Abu Dhabi, Al Wathba, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort and Spa, secured the title of the World's Leading Desert Resort
- Erth Abu Dhabi was recognised as the World's Leading Family Hotel.

Dubai earned the title of the World's Leading Shopping Destination, and The Dubai Mall was honoured with the award for the World's Leading Shopping Mall.

Aquaventure Waterpark at Atlantis The Palm claimed the prestigious title of the World's Leading Water Park for 2023. Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi was honoured with the World's Leading Theme Park award, and Yas Island received recognition as the World's Leading Theme Park Destination.
