UAE President Arrives In India For G20 Summit

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, has arrived in India to attend the 18th Group of 20 (G20) Summit. The UAE is partaking in the event as a guest of honour. The G20 Summit is taking place in the capital city of India, New Delhi, and the theme for this year is- "One Earth, One Family, One Future."

A high-level UAE delegation led by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will engage in constructive dialogue with international partners to achieve collective progress on issues ranging from sustainable development, climate action, and balanced economic growth, among others.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is accompanied by a delegation of senior Emirati officials- His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Court; His Excellency Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Her Excellency Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investment; His Excellency Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; His Excellency Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority and Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi; His Excellency Faisal Al Bannai, Secretary-General of the Advanced Technology Research Council; and His Excellency Dr. Abdul Nasser Al Shaali, UAE Ambassador to India. 

About the summit- it is the first ever G20 summit being hosted by India, and leaders from around the world have arrived in India to be a part of this event. The G20 is an international forum with 19 countries – Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the UK, the US and the EU.

From sustainable development goals to climate action and gender equality, the G20 summit will have productive discussions with world leaders over the next two days.
