His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has announced that elderly people can benefit from free integrated health treatment services at the University Hospital in Sharjah.
Elderly people will be taken to and from their homes to the hospital. Additionally, the elderly will receive special treatment in the hospital, from the time they reach the centre until discharge.
The decision was made through the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority’s Direct Line, after His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi was informed about a citizen's struggles to pay hospital bills, even with insurance. The citizen will receive treatment at the University Hospital.
