The public sector holiday to mark Hijri New Year will be given on Thursday, 20 July, as announced in a statement by the Department of Human Resources in Sharjah.
The weekend for the public sector runs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and government employees will now get a four-day holiday.
Work will resume on Monday, 24 July.
