UAE Rulers Release Prisoners

Rulers from the seven Emirates of the UAE have released prisoners, ahead of Eid Al Adha. 

His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has announced the release of 390 inmates from correctional facilities in Sharjah.

In Ajman, 166 prisoners that have displayed good conduct have been ordered for release by His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman.

Prisoners have also been pardoned in Umm Al Quwain, as announced by His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain.

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has announced the release of 356 prisoners in Ras Al Khaimah.

In Fujairah, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, released 108 prisoners.

Additionally, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, also announced the release of 988 prisoners, with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, releasing 650 prisoners.

The decisions aim to reunite families as well as give the prisoners a chance to rebuild their lives.
